The EUROPE DIRECT centres of Ionian Islands – Ionian University, Epirus, Peloponnese, and Ionian Islands – PRAXI Network are organising an online information event focusing on Entrepreneurship for a Sustainable Future, which will take place on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, at 18:30.
Within the framework of the European Green Deal and the promotion of the green transition, the adoption of sustainable practices represents both a major challenge and an opportunity for Greek businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in regional areas. The event aims to inform entrepreneurs, representatives of local authorities and the wider public about the prospects and opportunities offered by the green transformation, available funding opportunities, and initiatives that can contribute to promoting sustainable development and enhancing business competitiveness.
The topics to be addressed during the event will focus on the relevant regulatory framework, available funding instruments and the opportunities opening up for Greek businesses. Entrepreneurs from regional areas who have adopted green practices will also share their experiences, highlighting the challenges they have faced and the benefits they have gained.
