The Ionian University has recently established two Europe Direct information Centers, which will cover the entire Region of the Ionian Islands. These Centersare tasked with giving all citizens direct access to information, advice and answers to questions concerning the institutions, legislation, policies and programmes of the European Union, as well as opportunities for EU funding.
The first of the two Centers is responsible for implementing activities in Kefalonia and Zakynthos, under the scientific supervision of Valia Kaimaki, Assistant Professor at the Department of Digital Media and Communication, a colleague with outstanding experience and a consistent presence in the field of European education and communication.
The second Center, implemented in cooperation with the PRAXI Network, will carry out activities in Corfu and Lefkada and will be coordinated by Themistoklis Exarchos, Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics, who has extensive knowledge of European programmes and technological initiatives.
Through these two Centers, the Ionian University establishes a meaningful and organised presence across the entire Region, not only as a higher education institution, but also as a pillar of European information, dialogue and participation for all citizens of the Ionian Islands.
